TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute (WSI) prides itself on being an integral part of the Western Sydney community.
WSI provides exceptionally high quality vocational education, training and workforce development services to industry and enterprises, individuals and the community. WSI offers flexible training with delivery in the workplace, at seven Colleges, community locations and at home – enabling people to study at a time and place that suits them. The Open Training and Education Network (OTEN) is the specialist distance education arm of the Institute and WSI’s Building Industry Skills Centre (BISC) provides building and construction industry skills assessment and licensing needs for NSW. Its Sydney West International Education (SWIE) facility drives growth in the international education marketplace and, through Australian Workforce Development Solutions, WSI provides specialist services for industry to develop workforce capability and help make businesses more productive and sustainable
WSI delivers around 1000 courses with qualifications from the Australian Qualifications Framework that range from one-day short courses through to Advanced Diplomas, Graduate Certificates and, in conjunction with universities, qualifications up to Masters of Business Administration (MBA). In 2009, WSI was named NSW Large Trainer of the Year and had 95000 enrolments.
