Castle Hill RSL’s ongoing dedication to the community has been recognised with Castle Hill RSL being proudly awarded ClubsNSW 2010 People's Choice Award for Community Service.
Warren Glenny, President and Chairman, Castle Hill RSL said, “Castle Hill RSL is so incredibly proud to have be recognised and awarded ClubsNSW 2010 People's Choice Award for Community Service. This award demonstrates Castle Hill RSL’s dedication and commitment to support the Hills Community and beyond. We look forward to continuing to support the community with future endeavours”.
David Costello, CEO Clubs NSW, said, “Castle Hill RSL's win is a testament to its ability to stay in touch with the needs of its local community. The growth and transformation of the Club during the past few years has been nothing short of remarkable. And most importantly, everything it has done has made a positive contribution to the families of the Hills Shire. I'm sure General Manager David O'Neil and his team will feel winning the People's Choice Award is confirmation that the local community really appreciate all that Castle Hill RSL is doing for the region. Castle Hill RSL is arguably one of the state's leading clubs. I have no doubt that in coming years their status among the community and club industry will only continue to grow”.
To be nominated for this award, members of the community needed voted by writing 25 words or less about what their favourite club does for their community.Below are some of the entries members sent in.
Elizabeth Ivory, Member of Castle Hill RSL said, “My favourite club is a wonderful place for family and friends to meet, have a coffee, a drink, or a great meal either in the Courtyard Restaurant or the Rib Factory. Extensive renovations over recent years have made a wonderful atmosphere for any occasion and also a favourite meeting place for first dates!!(blind or otherwise!). The Hills area is ever expanding, therefore a great club such as this is a wonderful plus for the Hills and beyond.”
Ghada Nammour, Member of Castle Hill RSL said, “My family and I have been visiting Castle Hill RSL. for a while now. My husband and I have 5 children, and we tend to visit our RSL because we find it to have excellent set up, the food is excellent and better still, reasonably priced and most importantly we find our club to be family orientated and provides a safe environment for all. We have invited family and friends many a times and they all walk away with a wow factor. The relaxed atmosphere. Again most importantly the family friendly environment.”
Luba Charlton, Member of Castle Hill RSL said “Castle Hill RSL offer a broad range of community services which accommodates from the very young to our aged population. The club offers a safe environment (which appeals to me and my husband) and the staff are of the highest quality displaying a delivery of excellence in quality service. For such a large club I can take my mum who is 85 or our children and our grandchildren who range of 12 months to 8 years of age and we are accommodated so well with food, entertainment and staff attitudes and services it is a pleasure to attend.“
The ClubsNSW Awards for Excellence rewards and promotes excellence in the management and operation of clubs in NSW.
As the event that showcases the achievements of the Club Industry, the ClubsNSW Awards for Excellence;
