The University of Western Sydney connects corporate members of the Western Sydney Business Connection to the best and brightest UWS students. Students and recent graduates are available from all disciplines to complete short and long term paid work placements with your organisation.
Benefits to employers:
· no payroll hassles – students are employed casually through UWS and employers are invoiced directly
· insurance, workers compensation, and superannuation payments for the students are included in the cost
· economical way to resource a project or meet a short term staffing
· we can design a placement program to suit your needs
· time-saving – we handle the advertising and recruitment
· opportunity to trial students or graduates for casual, part-time and full-time roles
· quality assurance, all placements are monitored and students complete a workplace induction session at UWS
Student/graduates can work on a specific project or undertake on-going work. Some examples of the type of work students/graduates can complete during the placement are:
· prepare a business plan or audit
· develop and implement a public relations or marketing campaign
· design and implement software or website
· undertake engineering or industrial design projects
· engage in environmental or sustainability research
· undertake graphic design or multimedia interactive project
· conduct research and prepare policy paper
· evaluate processes and implement systems
