On behalf of the Directors of MatthewsFolbigg, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Mullette (former partner of major city firm Bartier Perry) and Paul Ohm (former Senior Associate of leading personal injury firm Carroll & O’Dea) to the position of Director.

Stephen Mullette joins the Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring Group and Paul Ohm joins the
Personal Injury & Compensation Group.

The announcement coincides with the firm’s continued growth as the leading and largest full service law firm in Western Sydney (now 16 Directors and over 35 lawyers). It also expands the firm’s support of specialisation to better provide for client needs. Stephen and Paul are both Accredited Specialists in their areas, and the firm now has twelve Accredited Specialists.

Stephen Mullette
Stephen is a leading insolvency & corporate reorganisation practitioner.

He has over twelve years experience in bankruptcy, voluntary administrations, liquidations, receiverships, informal and formal financial restructuring for both personal and corporate. His main role is to advise and represent insolvency practitioners on legal issues involved with insolvencyadministrations, including voidable transactions under the Bankruptcy and Corporations Acts.

Prior to joining the firm he was a director in Sydney firm Bartier Perry and previously a partner at The Argyle Partnership.

Stephen is a regular speaker at industry events. He is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia and the Law Council of Australia, Business Law Section, Insolvency and Reconstruction Law Committee. He is also a Law Society Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation, specialising in Insolvency.

Paul Ohm
Paul is a Law Society Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury, with over 15 years experience in compensation law and insurance litigation.

Prior to joining the firm he was a Senior Associate in Sydney firm Carroll and O’Dea. Paul specialises in resolving major and catastrophic injury claims. He acts for people who have suffered significant injuries arising from accidents on industrial sites, in the workplace, motor vehicle accidents, accidents in public places and in total and permanent disability claims.

He regularly presents papers at seminars for practitioners in workers compensation and total & permanent disability claims.
